ExcelCEO and ClineSys Record Retention Policy Top
All of ClineSys' online records are stored in a SQL Server database and are maintained and retained indefinitely. Refund Policy Top
Refund Policy: Refunds of the purchase price are available upon request to a registered ExcelCEO student if the participant completes an ExcelCEO (or ClineSys) self-study course and is not satisfied with the course content and the material learned (See Satisfaction Guarantee). Refunds are available for paid online and group study course offerings if the instructor is not able to conduct the presentation, or if there were technical difficulties beyond ClineSys' control (such as with meeting or webinar software). Maximum refund available will not exceed the purchase price paid by the given student.
Some course offerings are presented at no charge and those courses are not eligible for refund. Participants who pre-register and pre-pay for a course offering and cancel within 24 hours of the presentation are also eligible for a refund. If ClineSys cancels a program offering in advance of the scheduled offering, full refunds will be issued to all participants who have prepaid.
In order to be eligible for refund, a review process will be followed using the ExcelCEO Satisfaction Guarantee. This requires for the training course to have been completed in its entirety, for a specific training course from another provider to be cited as better (based on student experience with that specific program), and for the refund request to be made in writing to ExcelCEO Customer Service for review within a maximum of two years from the date of purchase. Upon completion of the review process, if all terms have been met, a refund shall be issued back to the purchaser of the training course and the refund requestor would then be unregistered as an ExcelCEO student.

Cancellation Policy for Webinars or Live Events Top
Program Cancellation Policy: ClineSys reserves the right to cancel an online course for whatever reason within 24 hours of the course offering. All communication between ClineSys and course participants is done via email and online registration. ClineSys assumes that the participant registers for the course with a valid email address. ClineSys does not check the validity of the participant's email address, other than it is in the correct email format. ClineSys is not responsible for any cancellation that is communicated to the participant in advance and the email is routed to the participant's junk mail folder where the participant doesn't see it in time for the course offering, or if the participant provides an invalid or misspelled email address to which communications are not received as a result.

Course Update Policy Top
Course Update Policy: The self-study courses that ClineSys offers use Microsoft® Excel and Access programs. These courses generally do not change unless there is a pronouncement by Microsoft. If that happens, the course material will be updated within a reasonable amount of time after the pronouncement. Each course is developed to the specific version of Excel or Access. All courses are reviewed and updated at least every two years to ensure that the course material is relevant to the course participant. The group live and group internet programs will also use specific versions of Excel and Access and are updated as of the presentation date of the offering. Additionally, ClineSys reviews all communications received by course participants and course evaluations to determine if any suggestion would suggest a course update. Examples would be comments about test and review questions and comments during the group live and group internet presentations.

Program Content and Knowledge Level Expectations Top
Program content and knowledge level equate to background of intended participants: Most ExcelCEO and ClineSys courses are geared to people with a Beginning knowledge of Excel or Access. However, even people who consider themselves to be experts in either application have told us they have gained lots of skills in the beginning chapters. Our courses are based on progressive learning, meaning that once a concept is taught, it is assumed the student has learned that skill set. If the student needs to review a particular skill set in order to complete a task in later chapters, they must take it upon themselves to go back and review the needed concepts. Other ExcelCEO or Access and SQL courses may require an intermediate or advanced knowledge of Excel or Access training. The words Beginning, Intermediate or Advanced in the course title determine what skill level the participant needs to have. ExcelCEO.com offers online tests that are available to participants to determine their skill level.

Content and Delivery Systems Top
Content and delivery systems are current, effectively designed and accurate: At ExcelCEO, we take great care in ensuring that our program materials are effectively designed and accurate. All courses are developed by Jim Cline, an expert in Excel and Access application development, specifically for accountants and financial professionals. Each course is specific to the Microsoft Excel or Access program version for which it is named and has been tested against the most current versions of those products. Each course is reviewed in its entirety at least every two years. If any course participant sees anything that appears incorrect in the course, please contact our support desk at Customer.Service@ExcelCEO.com.

|
Subject Matter Review Policy Top
Content is developed by a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and reviewed by qualified persons outside of the development team: All ExcelCEO and ClineSys courses are reviewed by CPAs and other qualified subject matter experts outside of the development team. We have a network of several experts and other qualified individuals that review ExcelCEO courses to ensure the material is relevent and accurate to the accounting/financial community.
|
|
Learning Objectives and Outcomes Top
Content is based on relevant learning objectives and outcomes: At the beginning of each chapter of the self-study courses and in the promotional materials for the Group-Live and Group-Internet Based courses are the Learning Objectives for each program. These objectives clearly define what the participant will gain in knowledge, skills and abilities by attending or completing each program. An example of these objectives for the Access and SQL course Chapter 15 are as follows:
- Identify SQL Code in Excel and Microsoft Query.
- Determine how to use Microsoft Query's GUI screen.
- Recognize SQL code in Microsoft Query's Design grid to include Parameters on an Excel file.
