Advice Tidbits

Get to work half an hour early and leave half an hour late. If you don't have anything to do during that time, use it for professional development or self-training (like an ExcelCEO course). Most people arrive right on time and leave right on time, but if you show the initiative of coming a little early and staying a little late, you'll be well-respected from the people above you. When layoffs occur, it's the people that show that kind of initiative who are generally better-protected.
